Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Seth Galkin


On June 29, 2021, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes appointed Seth P. Galkin to the position of Acting Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor and was sworn in as Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor (DFAP) by the Honorable Judge Adam Jacobs on May 3, 2022.  He presently supervises the daily operations of the PCPO staff assigned to 401 Grand Street, Paterson.


DFAP Galkin began his employment with the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office in May 2015, as an Assistant Prosecutor assigned to the Trial Section, where he served until 2021.

On October 17, 2017, DFAP. Galkin was promoted to the position of Senior Assistant Prosecutor-In-Charge of the Trial Section.

On August 28, 2018, DFAP Galkin was promoted to Chief Assistant Prosecutor of the Trial Section.

DFAP Galkin has been previously employed as an Assistant Hudson County Prosecutor from 2006-2015.

He clerked for the Honorable James F. Hyland (ret.) in New Jersey Superior Court-Law Division in the Middlesex Vicinage from 2005-2006.

In December 2005, DFAP Galkin was admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey and in the U.S. District Court-District of New Jersey.

DFAP Galkin received his Juris Doctor Degree from New York Law School in 2005 and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Rutgers University Livingston College in 2002.
